The Yellowstone Environmental Stewardship (YES!) Initiative is an ambitious public-private partnership that will require the commitment of dedicated partners and corporations, in particular, to be successful.
The following corporations are generously supporting YES! projects by donating goods, services, expertise, and cash:
Toyota Motor Sales, USA has donated eight hybrid vehicles to help Yellowstone decrease fuel consumption and reduce emissions.
Canon U.S.A. provided technical support and energy-saving office machines which help reduce the Park’s per-copy cost and improve efficiency. Canon has also supported public outreach for this Initiative.
Unilever has committed to fund the mapping of water use in Yellowstone and subsequent metering that will help guide the Park’s conservation strategy.
Michelin North America donated low-rolling resistance truck tires that will translate to significant fuel savings for the Park.
Alcoa Wheel Products donated lightweight aluminum rims for use on Yellowstone’s new fuel-efficient truck tires.
Rain Bird donated the state-of-the-art, water-conserving equipment needed to replace the outdated irrigation system used to water the lawns at historic Fort Yellowstone in Mammoth Hot Springs.
DuPont Building Innovations donated Tyvek CommercialWrap® which will save energy at the Yellowstone Justice Center and the Old Faithful Visitor Education Center.
