Annual Report

Letter from the Chairman and President

Making a difference for Yellowstone is the adrenaline that fuels our work at the Yellowstone Park Foundation (YPF). Like you, we are passionate about the privilege to work together, and share this common mission.

As we compiled our 2013 Annual Report, we were in awe of all we accomplished together this year especially given the difficult government shutdown that closed Yellowstone for 16 days.

In spite of this challenge, the achievements listed on the previous page reflect the tremendous results that a common purpose and unwavering commitment can produce. The success of these projects definitely provided the margin of excellence for the Park that is the starting point for everything we do.

One of the biggest accomplishments in YPF’s history happened this year when we opened the restored Old Faithful Haynes Photo Shop on June 22, 2013. It was indeed a watershed moment when we cut the ribbon to open its doors with Superintendent Dan Wenk and Deputy Superintendent Steve Iobst. For the first time, YPF has a permanent place in the Park that will showcase our work, and generate a new audience of supporters for this spectacular wonderland that we all love so much.

Our work together continues, but we can all be proud of making great strides this year to accomplish our main goal -- to help preserve and protect Yellowstone forever. Thank you for all you did this year to make this goal a reality.
