Yellowstone Youth Conservation Corps

Yellowstone Youth Conservation Corps

Yellowstone's Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) Program was established in 1984 as a joint effort between the National Park Service and Yellowstone National Park. The goal of Yellowstone's YCC program is to carry out needed conservation work in the Park, provide employment for young people from all social, economic, and ethnic backgrounds, and promote environmental awareness among the participants.

Thirty young men and women, between the ages of 15 and 18, are chosen each year to work together on projects in Yellowstone that protect and preserve the park's natural and cultural resources.
