Foundation Donors

National Science Foundation donated $2.75 million to fund the design, construction, and installation of interpretive exhibits for the Old Faithful Visitor Education Center and to produce several Electronic Field Trips to Yellowstone for www.windowsintowonderland.org.

Moose International and the million-plus men and women of the Moose fraternal organization have donated more than $2 million to the Yellowstone Park Foundation to fund Yellowstone's Youth Conservation Corps (YCC).

The Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation has donated more than $1.2 million to fund groundbreaking studies on the microorganisms in Yellowstone and how they affect the entire ecosystem. The findings may also have far-reaching benefits to the world of science.

After their generous $500,000 grant in support of the Old Faithful Visitor Education Center, The Kresge Foundation made a bonus grant of $250,000 to the project in recognition of the outstanding achievement of Gold-LEED certification.

ConocoPhillips Inc. donated $200,000 in 1996 as seed money to launch the Yellowstone Park Foundation. Since then, ConocoPhillips has contributed more than $4 million to fund the Old Faithful Visitor Education Center, the Yellowstone Trails Fund, the Haynes Photo Shop, and other Foundation projects. |

Toyota Motor Sales, USA contributed $1 million to environmentally sustainable elements in the Old Faithful Visitor Education Center, $882,000 to fund innovative, educational youth programs in Yellowstone, and several hybrid vehicles for Park and Foundation use. Toyota has also sponsored events for the Foundation, and provided in-kind consulting to the Park on sustainability. |

Unilever made the first major donation, $1.25 million, to build the Old Faithful Visitor Education Center in Yellowstone and has supported the Foundation by making additional, significant grants for trail restoration, hosting events, and providing important in-kind support. |

The Coca-Cola Company donated $500,000 to the Yellowstone Trails Fund and, through their Coca-Cola Foundation, donated $1 million toward the Old Faithful Visitor Education Center. Coca-Cola has also hosted Foundation events and contributed in-kind consulting on environmental sustainability to Yellowstone. |

Ogilvy Public Relations has provided to the Foundation, since 2008, more than a half-million dollars in in-kind services. From media relations, to graphic design, to film production, Ogilvy’s talented and dedicated staff have worked tirelessly on behalf of Yellowstone. |

Michelin North America has made a multi-year commitment, representing more than $350,000 in product donations to date, to help equip the park's vehicle fleet with fuel-saving tires. They have also contributed funds and technical assistance, and in 2012 published The Yellowstone Park Foundation’s Official Guide to Yellowstone National Park. |
