How Corporate Partners and YPF Came Together to Create the Guide:
Michelin North America became the official tire of the Yellowstone Park Foundation in 2009 after announcing a multi-year commitment to help equip the Park’s fleet of industrial trucks, earth-moving vehicles, passenger cars and light trucks. Because of these fuel-saving tires, Michelin is helping Yellowstone reach its goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the Park up to 30 percent by 2016. Also, as one of the world’s foremost providers of travel guides, it made sense that Michelin teamed up with YPF to release the first guide to a national park on Earth Day, 2012. Oce´, a Canon Group Company, collaborated with Michelin and YPF to provide the printing of the guide. The Oce´ ColorStream 3000 series inkjet press allowed for the stunning full-color photos and maps found throughout the guide. The gift of high-quality paper, binding and cover via Oce´means that these guides stand up to the wear and tear Park enthusiasts will likely desire in this type of book.
The Yellowstone Park Foundation, a nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization, works in cooperation with the National Park Service to fund projects and programs that protect, preserve, and enhance the natural and cultural resources and the visitor experience of Yellowstone National Park.
