Help Support Yellowstone While You Sleep!
If you’ve stayed in a Yellowstone Hotel in the past decade, you may be familiar with the “Dollar-per-Night” guest donation program. Since 2000, Park lodging concessionaire Xanterra Parks & Resorts, which manages Yellowstone National Park Lodges, has encouraged guests upon checkout to support the Yellowstone Park Foundation. Now a new partner is building on the success of the program.
Here's how it works: with the guest’s approval, the hotel adds one extra dollar for each night of the stay to the final lodging bill. These contributions then are forwarded to the Foundation in order to help fund Park enhancement projects.
We are now excited to welcome Delaware North Companies’ West Yellowstone, Montana hotels to the program as well. Delaware North’s Gray Wolf Inn & Suites, Yellowstone Park Hotel, and Holiday Inn West Yellowstone are the first hotels outside of Yellowstone to participate.
Those donated dollars really add up. Since its inception, Xanterra has raised roughly $650,000 through the Dollar-per-Night program. These funds have made a significant impact on the Foundations’ ability to fund research, conservation, and education projects for Yellowstone.
Delaware North’s Regional General Manager Derek Zwickey says that they are thrilled to join such a successful program. “We are pleased to support the work of the Yellowstone Park Foundation through the Dollar-per-Night program, and to offer our guests an easy way to give back to the Park,” said Zwickey.
