Kids Have Fun Learning at Yellowstone's Wildlife Olympics
Kids and their families participate along with a park ranger in 12 activities, and have fun learning about Yellowstone’s wildlife. Activities include leaping like a snowshoe hare, jumping like a mountain lion, holding one’s breath like a beaver, not blinking like an owl, and standing on one leg like a great blue heron. 2011: The 20 scheduled events began June 7 and will run from noon to 3 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays at alternating locations through August 12. Check this schedule for event times and locations, or call the Albright Visitor Center at (307) 344-2263. For other activities for kids, visit the For Kids page on Yellowstone's website.
