October 2013 marked the end of another season of lake trout suppression efforts as part of the ongoing Native Fish Conservation Program.  Highlights of the season include:

-removal of more than 300,000 lake trout

-one additional gill netting boat and contract crew

-increased numbers of immature cutthroat trout caught and observed

Efforts for this campaign are ongoing.  Help save Yellowstone's cutthroat trout by supporting the program to eliminate non-native predatory lake trout and keep Yellowstone's ecosystem intact by visiting www.ypf.org/savethetrout.

The beauty of Yellowstone is often found on display outside of the park.  The Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman, MT is exhibiting Welcome to Yellowstone! - Tourism in America's First National Park.

The Denver Art Museum is exhibiting a collection of Thomas Moran's chromolithographs, watercolors, drawings, and oil paintings.  This collection is part of the exhibition, Thomas Moran's Yellowstone: A Project for the Nation.
