Yellowstone Park Foundation

July/August 2012

Dear Friend:

We hope you're busy hiking, swimming, spending time with loved ones, and enjoying your summer. With that in mind, we offer our second annual “Summer Bits & Pieces” newsletter. Instead of in-depth articles, we've compiled a few newsy items to keep you up-to-date, help you make the most of your Yellowstone visit, and share some easy ways to get involved with the Yellowstone Park Foundation.

Black Bear at Yellowstone LakeOnce again this year, the Yellowstone Park Foundation sponsored the Wildlife of Yellowstone supplement for the park's Yellowstone Summer newspaper. Read about some of the park's famous creatures, as well as a few lesser-known ones, and while you're at it, brush up on your wildlife safety IQ.

In honor of our 15th Anniversary as Yellowstone's official fundraising partner, our friends at Ogilvy Public Relations produced a fantastic video about YPF's crucial role in the park, narrated by none other than Tom Brokaw! Please watch it on YouTube and share it with friends.

Finally, the Yellowstone Park Foundation is proud to be featured in the premiere issue of Essential Friends Magazine, published by National Parks Traveler. It highlights the important work of park friends groups and our supporters, along with great photos and travel tips!

From all of us at the Yellowstone Park Foundation, to all of you:  Thank you very much for your support, and best wishes for a safe and fun summer!
