Backcountry Users Orientation Program DVD

All visitors who travel into Yellowstone's backcountry for an overnight must obtain a backcountry permit. In order to deliver a comprehensive backcountry orientation program that is consistent among Yellowstone's seven different permitting offices, the Park created a Backcountry Film thirteen years ago. The Yellowstone Park Foundation raised funds to revise the current film, making it more up-to-date, concise, and accurate. The new film will focus on preparing visitors for the risks inherent in backcountry travel and will also emphasize the most current resource protection practices. It will be developed during 2006 and 2007.

Total Project Cost: $17,250
